11.00 Visit community in Stockholm. A girl I met at “workshop for Sustainable Lifestyles” had told me she was living in a community, and that I was welcome to come visit. I have dream about living in a community with likeminded people who share my passion for inner growth and sustainability. So I visited their community :).

Highlights
-Fasting 18 hours
-Productive burst in the train. Catching up on blog posts.
-Conversation with a friend that just came back from Vipassana retreat

06.45 Wake up. 8h sleep. Aaahhh…got some sleep. So nice. Minimize effort in the morning. Skip breakfast and cook lunch. Didn’t take out lenses last night. Experiment with wearing for two days. Maybe optician won’t approve, but it will probably not destroy my eyes doing that every once in a while.

I will try to get my body into fasting state for some time today. It will probably help me be more productive on the train too. I usually get more mentally energized when I am fasting, at least the first hours before hunger starts capturing attention. I will fast from 19.30 last night to something like 14.00 today. Thats 18,5h. I have read that it takes something like 8-12h to go into fasting state. So my body will be in fasting state for like 6-10h.

Brush my teeth with electrical toothbrush. Then off!

Parked the folding E-bike on Söder/Skanstull.

07.13 Leave friends place near Skanstull, Söder.  Almost no traffic. No rain too this morning. Quite warm, maybe 5C. Nice without slippery snow and ice. Enjoyable ride.

07.23 Arrive at Stockholm Central. Wow! Fast. Only ten minutes. And I complied with most traffic rules too. Amazing. Continue reading

04.45 Wake up after 3,5 hours of sleep. Such a pain waking up and getting out of bed. I’m well prepared so not so much to do. Cook some kick-ass oat porridge (cacao, berries, cinnamon, cardamom, banana etc). Drink some tea. Then of with the folding E-bike to the train station. Less than 10 minute ride.

05.46 Train Östersund – Stockholm. Soo tired. Some how, I manage to stay awake get get something done on the laptop. Read up on the cancer my mother may have, malignt lymphoma. Treatments. I wrote a message to a friend working in med-tech sector, at a private equity firm investing in small med-tech firms. Got an answer. Immune therapy seems to be the frontier of cancer treatment. We’ll meet up during lunch and talk some more.

Folding E-bike, outside the train from Östersund to Stockholm

2015-12-02 05.44.45

E-bike “folded” on the train. I should have brought a tool for detaching the seat. Bounded rationality, difficult anticipate.

Whole-food, plant-based cooking project. Yellow peas. Put in water 12-24h. Then cook 1-1,5h. Perfect from ecological and economic perspective. Its organic, plant-based grown in Sweden, for just 22 SEK/kg (less than 3 USD/kg). Its only oat that can compete with that in terms of both ecologically and economically sustainable. Since its 3200 Kcal/kg, and around 20% protein, you get a lot of bang for the buck, if you want to fuel an active lifestyle.
